Eric grew up in rural Pennsylvania very active in a multitude of activities and outdoors pursuits. He attended Pennsylvania State University and received a Bachelor's in Microbiology with minors in Chemistry and Biochemistry. While there, Dr. Noll participated in multiple club sports and organizations including wrestling, soccer, rugby, and an outdoors interest fraternity. After graduation he attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry for his doctorate degree while on scholarship from the Air Force. Upon graduation he was assigned to Minot AFB, ND for three years and thoroughly enjoyed his time both at work and outside of it while coaching wrestling, training dogs, and exploring the state's outdoors. Things worked out that his next assignment landed him in his dream state of Alaska in 2016 at Eielson AFB, AK where he began his MBA and continued his love of remote places. In 2019 he made the tough decision to leave active duty to pursue his goals of practice ownership and staying in Alaska.
During the next 1.5 years he worked at a group practice in Fairbanks and continued his military career as a Reservist at JB Elmendorf-Richardson where he continues to work monthly. Dr. Noll has a passion for keeping Optometry offices local and private, which he feels allow for a wonderful work enviroment for Staff and Doctors as well as allowing for better patient care and relationships. Based primarily in Kodiak, Eric has been able to tie several offices together and is thrilled that Dr. Matheson allowed him to continue keeping Alaska Vision Center owned by Alaskans. Having wonderful team members is critical since he travels throughout Alaska allowing for staff flexibility. Thank you for welcoming me to Juneau when I am in town, I look forward to caring for the community with Drs. Sarah and Jill and Staff.
